Checking Mails Policy

 

1. General: Mails possess a great threat because of the associated risks involved. Mails may be used to inflict injury by means of explosive powder and can cause serious threats by using chemicals agents like Anthrax and mustard.

 

2. Types of mails:        Mails are broadly divided into two types:

a) Outgoing mails.

b) Incoming mails.

 

3. Incoming mails: All incoming mails will be screened by means of the following:

a.)Metal detector

b.) Weight

c.)Corner Cutting

d.)Smelling and suiting

e.) Jerking

f.)      Holding envelop in front of a light

 

4. Outgoing mails: All outgoing mails will be weighed and tested with hand metal detectors.

 

5. All mails outgoing/incoming will be documented.
